In a small store front in Terrell, the words on the door simply proclaim "Boxes of Love". Certainly enough to make one wonder what joy lies within the walls of such a place.
Born to parents who were alcoholics and addicts, life didn't start out easy for Angela Foster.
"I struggled with drug abuse, alcohol, you name it I did it. I've been homeless, I've slept on the streets" said Angel Foster of Boxes of Love in Terrell.
She ended up in jail for six months and rehab for another six month. However it was a year that would change her life forever. When she got out she made a commitment to stay clean and let God do the rest.
"I got invited to church and for the first time in my life I found forgiveness, not only for myself but for my past" Angela added.
She started putting shoe boxes together with Bibles, clothes, hygiene items and personal notes of hope to give out to local residents and women getting out of jail.
Angela has created and given out over six hundred Boxes of Love since she opened the store front that simply tells the world...love is given freely here!
"A lot of times people come in here and they ask will you pray with me" Angela said.
Life may have started on a rocky road for Angela Foster, but it is flying high on the wings of an Angel these days.
