DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Police are searching for two robbers who held up a University Park man at gunpoint in his driveway Sunday morning.

Matt McCormick had just returned from a Sunday morning donut run when the armed men demanded cash before he was able to enter his home.

"He came running at me like this with a gun. I mean, running, full speed, directly at me," said Matt McCormick.

McCormick said no, until a second suspect also pulled a gun and demanded his car, a white Kia Optima.

"I said, I don't really want to give you my car. Another guy with him pulled another gun. So I have one gun at my forehead and one gun to the side of my head. The guy with the gun to the side of my head says give me your car, so at that point I give him my key."

One suspect took off in his car, but the other said he was going to stay and shoot McCormick. He said his faith helped him remain calm.

"That's what kept me strong through this... was just thinking that this weapon formed against me is not going to be able to hurt me, so I'm alright," he said.

A distraction helped, too, when the suspects crashed his car into the getaway car. McCormick says the thieves forgot to disable "find my device," and McCormick was able to lead police to his car.

"These guys are not really rocket science criminals," he said.

McCormick's vehicle was totaled by the time police found it. Police said they have some good leads but have not made an arrest.
