North Texas Lake Levels Are Down

We have not seen much rain in the past few weeks, which has lead to most of North Texas being placed back in the "Abnormally Dry" category, according the Drought Monitor.

North Texas lakes and reservoirs are suffering a bit in the past month, therefore.  Thankfully because of plentiful rains earlier in the year, the levels themselves are not bad for summer.  We can be especially grateful for fuller lakes compared to last year.  Here are the lakes that have seen the biggest drain in the  past month:

Many of you will be celebrating the Fourth of July on the water.  Be careful!  Drink plenty of water and strongly consider wearing life jackets to prevent more drownings.  We've seen too many already in North Texas.  Here are the lake levels as of Tuesday:
