More White Powder Envelopes Discovered

A Richardson pastor had the scare of his life -- when white powder fell from an envelope he opened over the weekend. It's happened more than a dozen times in less than a week. Similar envelopes have shown up at Love Field and at businesses and churches, at least one mosque and at companies, mostly in high-tech industries, from Arlington and Dallas to Carrollton and Grand Prairie. Now, it's happened in Richardson, where Reverend Jay Matthews was opening the mail at Saint Stephen Anglican-Catholic Church on Saturday. Inside the envelope, he found some suspicious white powder which, it turned out, was harmless. This makes the 14th such hoax in and around Dallas over the past week and each time police and firefighters were called out in a full Haz-Mat response. A postal inspector says it's too early to confirm that the incidents are connected.
