"We know Dallas members are going to love the convenience of one-hour delivery through Prime Now," said Dave Clark, Amazon's senior vice president of worldwide operations. "Our existing operations in Dallas-area that utilize advanced technology to fulfill customer orders are now home to a Prime Now hub that is fueling this super-fast delivery."

The company opened two fulfillment centers in the Dallas area in 2013 -- in Irving and Coppell.

The Prime Now app is available on iOS and Android devices to all Prime members. Once downloaded, users will be notified when the service is available in their area.

The service is available from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week. Two-hour delivery is free, while one-hour delivery is available for $7.99.

The Prime Now service is currently available in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Baltimore and Miami.

Amazon Prime is an annual membership, costing $99 per year, which offers free two-day shipping on millions of products. It also provides users access to Prime Instant Video, Amazon's streaming service.
