5 Big 12 Matchups To Watch In 2015

Two teams sit firmly atop the Big 12 as the 2015 season approaches.
Here are five Big 12 Conference games that you should make a point to watch.
TCU No. 2, Baylor No. 4 In Coaches' Poll
1. Texas Tech at Baylor, Oct. 3
The two teams have played this game at AT&T Stadium in each of the last four seasons. Despite Baylor winning each time, the teams have averaged a combined 99 points.
Last season, Texas Tech was a two-point conversion away from rallying from 25 points down. Baylor held on for a 48-46 win.
Two of the Big 12's best offenses will once again put on quite a show -- and on the biggest stage.
2. Kansas at Iowa State, Oct. 3
Maybe it's cruel to put this game on the list, but both teams could be seeking their one and only conference win of the season.
Last season, Kansas beat Iowa State 34-14 at home, for its lone conference win. Iowa State was shut out in conference play, narrowly losing to Texas and Texas Tech.
The casual fan might write this game off, but Jayhawks and Cyclones fans should take notice -- it might be their lone opportunity to celebrate.
3. Oklahoma at Texas, Oct. 10
This needs little explanation. The Red River Rivalry at the historic Cotton Bowl is a must see each season.
Charlie Strong and the Longhorns narrowly lost to OU last season in Strong's first exposure to the series.
The Sooner have won 4 of the last 5. The pressure will be on Strong to get a win over Bob Stoops.
4. TCU at Kansas State, Oct. 10
TCU enters the season as the No. 2 team in the nation, as voted by coaches. But that doesn't matter in Manhattan.
The Wildcats' bruising style of football is particularly effective at home, where they were undefeated in Big 12 play last season.
The Horned Frogs will be playing their 6th game in 6 weeks on Oct. 10. If they enter the game limping, they could leave with their first blemish of the season.
5. Baylor at TCU, Nov. 27
This game could and should have conference and national title implications, just as it did in 2014.
Last season, Baylor rallied from 19 points down in the 4th quarter, converting a 28-yard field goal as time expired for a 61-58 win at home.
The loss took TCU out of the national championship picture, something that Horned Frogs fans and players won't soon forget.
This time, the nationally televised game will take place in Fort Worth. It should be a thriller.
