4th of July Forecast Update

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!

Just like the past few days we will see a few isolated thunderstorms pulse up this afternoon and early this evening.  Coverage will be very low so most areas stay dry, but if you do happen to see a thunderstorm where you are there could be some strong winds associated with it.  Most of the storms will die off before fireworks begin, but there could be a few lingering showers in a few remote locations.  Overall though, it looks good for outdoor plans this evening.

MORE OF THE SAME…
This pattern of upper 90s and low 100s will continue all week, with more isolated pop up thunderstorms each afternoon.  Coverage will remain low less than 20% each day.  There could be a few nighttime cluster of storms that move into far northeastern sections of North Texas (i.e. Paris, Sulphur Spring, Bonham, Greenville) during the overnight hours Wednesday night or Thursday night.

HOTTEST FOURTH OF JULY's…

Today's high temperature will likely top out around 100 or 101.  That will put this July 4th as one of the hotter July 4th's.  Here is the records for this date in history.
