3 People Hurt In Dallas Wrong-Way Crash

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM/AP) - Three people were seriously injured after a wrong-way crash near the intersection of South Great Trinity Forest Way and Pemberton Hill Road in Dallas.

Authorities said that the crash happened at around 11:00 p.m. late Wednesday night. According to police, the driver of a black Honda Accord was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes, and rammed into a Chevy Blazer.

Two people inside of the Blazer -- a man and a woman -- were trapped when the SUV went down an embankment. They were rescued and transported to Parkland Hospital in Dallas in critical condition. Their names have not been released.

Meanwhile, the wrong-way driver was taken to Baylor Medical Center at Dallas and also listed in critical condition. The name of this suspect has also not been released. Police said that the driver was under the influence of alcohol and is set to be charged with two counts of intoxication assault.
