3 Named Storms in the Atlantic Plus a Return of 100 Degree Heat Possible
THREE NAMED TROPICAL SYSTEMS IN THE ATLANTIC…
There are now three named storms in the Atlantic. Hurricane Katia, Tropical Storm Maria, and Tropical Storm Nate. Katia and Maria are out in the Atlantic and Nate has formed in the southern Gulf of Mexico.
Nate will slowly drift northward the next few days. The models disagree on where it will be heading. Some take it toward the Central Gulf Coast similar to Lee's track. But a few models take into the northern Mexico coast. No model has it coming close to North Texas. Below are the models for Nate.
HEAT RETURNS…
This nice break from the heat won't last for much longer. We will see temperatures slowly warm each day as we head into the weekend. Highs will make it into the low 90s this weekend and then mid to upper 90s next week with the potential for 100s again by the middle of next week. Overnight lows will slowly get warmer too. In the low 60s the next few nights then upper 60s next week for morning lows. No rain in the forecast for at least the next 7 days.
