2 Drivers Hurt In Haltom City Wrong-Way Crash

HALTOM CITY (CBSDFW.COM) - A crash involving a wrong-way driver in Haltom City left two people seriously injured and shut down a portion of roadway. It took place at around 1:45 a.m. early Monday in the southbound lanes of Highway 121, near Haltom Road.

According to investigators, a car was heading northbound in those southbound lanes, before slamming into another vehicle.

The drivers were the only people in the cars. Both of them were transported by MedStar to nearby hospitals. They had serious injuries, but Cpl. Ray Beshirs with the Haltom City Police Department said that both individuals are expected to be recover at this point.

Police added that nobody has been taken into custody, at this point.

The crash scene had shut down the southbound lanes of Highway 121 during the overnight hours, but the roadways has since been opened back up to regular traffic.
