100s in Forecast for DFW, But Next Week Not as Hot

Hot and muggy weather will be with us thru the rest of the week with just isolated rain chances.  That's thanks to high pressure in the upper levels of the atmosphere that will be building over North Texas.

RIGHT NOW

Here's what upper level winds look like now.  High pressure is centered just west of DFW.

THURSDAY

Small storm chance as a weak disturbance moves overhead.

THIS WEEKEND

Here come the heat!  Temps right around 100 Friday thru Monday as the high builds right over top of us.

MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK

The high drifts back to the west and allows another disturbance to move closer to North Texas.  This will bring some rain chances and also ease the temps a bit by the middle of next week.

SLIGHTLY COOLER NEXT WEEK

We are looking like average to maybe slightly below average temperatures for the middle and end of next week.

7-DAY FORECAST

Isolated showers tomorrow and isolated thunderstorms on Thursday.  Hot and dry for the weekend.
