Some House Republicans have rebuked Mr. Trump on tariffs, war powers and the Epstein files, and defections could grow as the midterms approach.
The Democratic Women's Caucus wore pink to President Trump's address to Congress last year. This year, they're returning to white.
"There's something about this administration's attitude toward this, which I think really leads us to conclude they have something to hide," she told the BBC.
Democrats have demanded reforms to immigration enforcement, including barring officers from wearing masks.
It's the second time in as many weeks that government funding has lapsed as Democrats and the White House remain at an impasse over immigration enforcement policies.
He said there should also be proof of citizenship and a ban on mail-in ballots, with some exceptions.
The Senate failed to advance a measure to fund the Department of Homeland Security on Thursday, paving the way for another partial government shutdown.
The measure's passage is largely symbolic as it's likely to be vetoed by the president if it survives a Senate vote.
"He is feeling better and will be working from home this week on the advice of his doctors," Sen. Mitch McConnell's spokesman said.
The SAVE America Act would implement strict new requirements for registering to vote and casting ballots.
GOP leaders launched an unsuccessful bid to reinstate a ban on resolutions that challenged the president's sweeping tariffs.
The criticism continued even after the White House removed the video after the initial backlash.
A spokesman for Sen. Mitch McConnell said the Kentucky Republican's "prognosis is positive."
Hillary Clinton will appear for a deposition on Feb. 26, while former President Bill Clinton will appear on Feb. 27, according to the House Oversight Committee.
