Bob Uecker was the voice of his hometown Milwaukee Brewers who after a short playing career earned the moniker "Mr. Baseball" and honors from the Hall of Fame.
During six undistinguished seasons in the major leagues, Bob Uecker never played an inning for the Milwaukee Brewers. But during his more than half-century as the team's play-by-play announcer, he has become a mascot for the game.
A downward escalator from the terrace to the loge level malfunctioned and sped up, the Brewers said.
"The legacy of Hank Aaron has always been about so much more than just his incredible baseball achievements," said Jane Forbes Clark, chairman of the Hall of Fame board, in a statement.
