SF Artist Hands Out Thousands Of Copies Of Parody Religious Pamphlet, 'God Hates Dinosaurs'
Among all the noise of high rises in construction and tech chatter in a changing San Francisco, art always makes its presence known. Many have lamented the city's loss of culture (and the weirdness that keeps it unique), but still, artists and performers find a way to adapt.
Doc Pop is one of those people. The multi-faceted artist is a creative as well as an observer, and was so inspired by the fundamentalists frequenting the Powell cable car junction, he decided to present his own doctrine: God Hates Dinosaurs.
"Ever been handed one of those little books that tells the story about how D&D is evil, or the pope is actually the antichrist?" he writes in his Kickstarter campaign. "Now imagine if some stranger handed you a little comic that looked the same and smelled the same, but was all about how superheroes are rad and dinosaurs are bad."

Dop Pop's goal was to give out 1,000 copies to strangers, but he has since long surpassed that goal, and now hopes to hand out even more, and to also make it available for others to translate and distribute.
Now then, the question you might be asking yourself at this moment is: why?
There is no answer to that, San Francisco. It just is.
Just enjoy.
