Police Investigating Child Porn On Instagram Account Of San Jose High School Student

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- Police are investigating the distribution of child pornography at a San Jose high school.

According to police, a 17-year-old Lincoln High School student started an Instagram account with nude pictures of underage females.

The male student allegedly called the girls derogatory names in the posts.

He was cited for distribution of child pornography. Police did not release his name.

In an email to parents on Monday, Lincoln principal Matthew Hewitson said the school had been in touch with Instagram about the account and the company took down several pages.

This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the San Jose Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force at 408-277-4102.
