Everyone In The UK Is Freaking Out About The 'This Girl Can' Campaign

Any person that believes working out as a woman is picture perfect moment is sorely mistaken. We sweat, we hustle, we dig deep, and most of the time, we're not necessarily looking pretty while we're doing it.

But who cares—that's never a reason to avoid working up a sweat.

A non-profit named Sports England from the U.K. wants to promote that idea. Their new campaign, called "This Girl Can", aims to encourage girls to get physically active and to quit getting hung up on insecurities.

Their own survey reported that 75% of British women between 14-40 would be more active if not in part for insecurities about the way they look during a work out (you can bet that percentage is about the same if not larger in the U.S.).

"One of the strongest themes [presented in the survey] was a fear of judgment," said the organizations CEO Jennie Price. "Worries about being judged for being the wrong size, not fit enough, and not skilled enough came up time and again."
