Magnitude 3.0 earthquake hits near Dublin

An earthquake hit just outside of Dublin Tuesday evening, the United States Geological Survey confirmed.  

The quake in the East Bay had a preliminary magnitude of 3.0 and a depth of about six miles, according to the USGS.

Residents in Concord, Danville, Fremont, Hayward and Castro Valley reported feeling weak shaking, the USGS website states.
