The 49ers and Falcons both have a few players on this week's injury report, but nothing major. When the two play Monday Night injuries will not be a deciding factor meaning the team that plays better will win.
News around 49er camp is that fullback Bruce Miller is done for the rest of the year with a scapula injury. Miller has played a huge role in the team's offense this year and while his loss will certainly be felt, San Francisco should be able to survive.
The National Football League's formulaic methodology for scheduling means the Oakland Raiders already know who their opponents will be in 2014.
While the rematch from last year's NFC Championship Game will not quite live up to the hype that was expected when the season started, it's still a very interesting match-up. Both teams have plenty to play for and will do everything they can to leave the field Monday with win.
It was obvious after each team's opening drives that the best team on the field in Tampa Bay was the visitor. While it was a one possession game late, San Francisco dominated their opponent from start to finish, getting a little something from everyone on the way to their 10th win of the season.
No pregame injuries will come into play when the 49ers and Buccaneers meet Sunday. They are both as healthy as they could hope to be this late in the season, which is great for a San Francisco team playing in another important game.
With 3 weeks left in the season, San Francisco could possibly clinch a playoff spot this Sunday. They will need to beat Tampa Bay first, and after that will be rooting for the Titans, Vikings and Packers.
After their hard fought, dramatic win over the Seattle Seahawks, the 49ers have to avoid a letdown this week against Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers had a terrible start to their season and after digging themselves in a deep hole, have played better as of late, and not a team to be taken lightly.
In a game that they had to win, San Francisco responded. They beat the best team in the NFC, (record-wise) and remain in control of their playoff destiny.
The pivotal game between the 49ers and Seahawks will be without a few key players. As a whole though, both teams are relatively healthy and have to be pleased heading into this important rematch.
