The city of Rocklin is installing 32 more license-plate cameras, bringing the total to 37. The cameras will photograph rear license plates, allowing police to see if vehicles are stolen, and know who's coming in and out of the city.
The rain could be the break Mosquito Fire crews needed since battling flames early September.

Crews are getting the upper hand on another fire burning in placer county. Cal Fire says the Dutch Fire near I-80 and Ridge Road is now 60 percent contained. Nearly 50 acres have burned since the fire broke out Tuesday afternoon. Traffic on westbound I-80 has been reduced to one lane.
More than 11,000 people remain evacuated tonight and some have been able to move into the Auburn parks and recreation parking lot. A half dozen families have decided to stay there, including a woman from Todd Valley who was forced from her home a week ago.
Authorities are asking people to be patient around "the grounds" in Roseville. It's the base camp for cal fire operations for the mosquito fire. More than 3,600 first responders are stationed there tonight. The sheriff's office says to expect heavy traffic there--during the morning commute until the fire is out.
The fire is now estimated to be 64,159 acres in size and is 20% contained as of Thursday. There are 3,655 people battling the fire.
The line, built by fire retardant, was dropped to ensure that the fire Tuesday did not make its way over Foresthill Road.
The fire started Tuesday along Interstate 80 near Dutch Flat. The fire is 30 percent contained.
The fire is now estimated to be 50,330 acres in size and is 25% contained. There are 3,052 people battling the fire, officials said Tuesday night.
You can still see and hear the aerial fight against the Foresthill fire, which flared up around 3 p.m. Tuesday.
So far, 46 structures have burned, according to Cal Fire. Backfires set by firefighters helped keep the flames away from homes.
