The Nebraska Football Player and The Raccoon
Nebraska football player, Jack Gangwish spotted a raccoon on the side of a road near Lincoln on December 3. He stopped to take a selfie with the animal and when he approached the raccoon, the animal bit him on the calf. Gangwish went to his truck and used a wrench to kill the raccoon.
Here are three reasons why you should never take a selfie with a raccoon.
1. First, being an athlete you should stay away from doing stupid things on social media. Taking a photo with a wild animal and then killing it, falls under that category of doing stupid things on social media.
2. Now the president of PETA wants Nebraska athletic director Shawn Eichorst to punish Gangwish for killing a raccoon that bit him. If the football player had common sense and never messed with the raccoon in the first place he wouldn't be in this position.
3. Lastly, wild animals and selfies just don't go together. It's a lose, lose situation no matter where you are in the world.
