Suspect In Sacramento Wells Fargo Bank Robbery Sought
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A Wells Fargo Bank in Sacramento was robbed on Thursday, and a crime task force is seeking the public's help to identify the suspect.
The Wells Fargo at 2598 Fair Oaks Blvd., near the intersection of Fair Oaks and Monroe, was robbed at about 10:45 a.m. when the man entered the bank and gave the teller a note demanding cash. He didn't show a weapon but indicated he was armed, according to the FBI.
The Sacramento Violent Crimes Task Force, comprised of FBI agents and Sacramento County Sheriff's detectives, is seeking a black man believed to be in his early 30s, about 6 feet tall and 180 pounds.
He fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash wearing a red San Francisco Giants cap with "San Francisco" embroidered on the brim, glasses and a grey hooded zip-up sweatshirt over an untucked black and white plaid shirt. He also carried a black backpack.
