Sheriff Seeking Identity Of Sex Assault Suspect
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies are hoping a sketch will help them identify a sexual assault suspect who attacked a woman whose car had broken down near Greenback Lane.
The incident took place on May 7 just before 8:00pm. The victim was waiting for a friend after her car broke down on Verner Avenue near Greenback Lane when she was approached by a man who offered her help.
When she refused, the man grabbed her and pulled her to a nearby wooded area. The man had a knife strapped to his belt, but did not use it. He exposed himself to her and told her he intended to sexually assault her.
Luckily, the woman's friend showed up at that time and the suspect ran away. Deputies searched the area, but could not find him.
The suspect is described as a a black male adult, between 40-42 years old, approximately 6'4" tall and weighing about 220 pounds. He has a stocky build, dark complexion, and short, curly hair. He had a beard, and was wearing a dirty, white T-shirt and camouflage pants.
