MODESTO (CBS13) – Modesto police have detained a suspect in the murder of man whose body was found inside a Chinese restaurant early this morning.

 The victim was found inside the China Gourmet in a shopping center at Oakdale and East Orangeburg Avenue.  Though police are waiting on a positive identification, officers believe the victim is the owner of the restaurant.

Crews were originally called for medical aid at about 3:00 a.m. but when they arrived the person was already dead.

Police say they don't know who made the original call.  

Detectives say they detained a possible suspect this morning around 7:30 but no charges have been filed.
