Mitt Romney's iPhone App Misspells "America"
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Misspellings happen. Typos happen. Most often, they're noticed and simply corrected. But sometimes, they make national news. Like when a candidate running for U.S. president promises "A Better Amercia".
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's campaign released on Tuesday a new iPhone app called "With Mitt". It allows people to take photos and superimpose one of several different messages on them to share with friends.
The problem is one of the messages says "A Better Amercia" instead of America.
According to the Washington Post, Romney's campaign has submitted an update to Apple to fix the typo. However, the damage might already be done. CNET reports that #Amercia was a trending topic on Twitter just hours after the mistake was discovered.
