Man Found Fatally Wounded In Front Of South Sacramento Residence

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A man was found fatally wounded after a reported shooting in south Sacramento early Monday morning.

The Sacramento Police Department says officers responded to the 8300 block of Anton Way a little after 12:30 a.m. after multiple reports of a shooting.

At the scene, an injured man was found in front of a home in the area. His wounds were believed to be life-threatening, officers say, and medics promptly took him to the hospital.

He was later pronounced dead, police say. His identity has not been released.

No arrests have been made and no suspects have been identified. Detectives are still working to find out the motive behind the incident, but they believe it to be an isolated case.
