Historic Vacaville Tree Chopped Down
VACAVILLE (CBS13) – A piece of history was chopped down in Vacaville today.
A dying 100-year-old Walnut tree was at risk of collapsing, according to arborists. So, as a precaution, it was cut down to prevent any potential injuries to the public.
Many people came out to witness the last minutes of the historic tree.
The tree will live on in a way. An arborist took a walnut from the tree and will replant it.
