The eagles nesting at U.S. Steel's Irvin Plant in West Mifflin laid three eggs in the 2025 season, and hundreds of people watched as they hatched.
USS 8, the first of the season, was hatched overnight on March 27. USS 8 is the eighth successful hatch at that nest.
This new eaglet came from Irvin and Stella. While it was the sixth season for dad Irvin, there's a new female this time. Stella replaced Claire, who left the nest the year before.
