Williams Commits To Pitt

Pittsburgh (KDKA)- The Pitt football program went back to Johnstown to add another recruit.

Johnstown linebacker Alkwan Williams committed to the Panthers this morning.

Williams told Chris Peak of Pantherlair.com that he's wanted to be a Panther since his freshman season.

Williams picked Pitt over offers from Kent State, Toledo, and Temple.

Williams, 6'0" 225, led Johnstown with 137 tackles and 5 sacks last season. As a sophomore in 2009, he recorded 113 tackles and a team-high nine sacks.

Williams is Todd Graham's sixth verbal commitment for the Class of 2012.
