Talbot Wants To Remain In Pittsburgh

MONROEVILLE (KDKA) -- The Penguins have some tough off-season decisions to make this summer. The team has several unrestricted free agents and have already said Mike Comrie and Alex Kovalev will not be back.

One of the unrestricted free agents is cult hero Max Talbot who wants to stay in Pittsburgh. He was in town on Memorial Day for an autograph signing at A&L Motors.

Talbot says his relationship with Penguins fans is something he does not want to end.

"That's Ray Shero's plan. He's going to decide who he wants to get back and you know what, I'm sure it's a hard job for him, but I'm sure he' s going to make the right decisions too," Talbot said.

Kris Letang, who was also on hand for the autograph session, says it's always tough.

"Every year it's a part of the year that you don't want to see anyone go," he said. "Obviously, it's a part of the business and we'll see some guys, we'll see guys leave, we'll see guys coming back, but it's going to be tough. "
