SWAT Situation At Downtown Pittsburgh Hotel Ends Peacefully

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A SWAT situation at a downtown Pittsburgh hotel ended peacefully Sunday afternoon.

Police were called to the Drury Plaza Hotel on Grant Street around noon.

According to reports, a man locked himself inside a room and refused to come out.

A SWAT commander said the man was having mental health issues.

The man eventually surrendered peacefully and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

No charges will be filed.
