Suspect Aims Gun at Police, is Shot in Leg

A man who pointed a gun at police who were trying to arrest him is in the hospital this morning after being shot in the leg.
Pittsburgh Assistant Police Chief Maurita Bryant says a city detective and a U.S. Marshal on a fugitive task force were trying to arrest 26 year old Dominick Howard on a probation violation when he ran into a vacant house. Bryant says they officers found Howard with a gun in his mouth and ordered him to drop the gun. Howard then pulled the gun from his mouth and aimed it at police officers.
Howard was then shot in the leg by the detective. He'll live, but faces additional charges.
