Pittsburgh (KDKA)- It appears as though the Steelers wanted to give former draft pick Thaddeus Gibson another look.
Profootballtalk.com is reporting that the team put in a waiver claim for the linebacker but were unsuccessful.
Reportedly, the Steelers, Bears, and Redskins made claims for Gibson. The Redskins had the worst record last year, so were awarded him.
The Steelers selected Gibson in the 4th round of last year's draft but eventually cut him.
The Steelers have a ton of depth at linebacker so it's curious as to why they'd attempt to bring Gibson back.
