Sala Udin Asks African Americans To Rally For Mayoral Candidate

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) -- Pittsburgh political activist, Sala Udin is asking for African Americans to rally behind a candidate in the race for mayor.

He and the B-PEP are inviting all of the candidates to a forum.

The next day, members of the black community will vote on who responds best to what he calls "The Black Agenda," and the winner will receive the backing of the Pittsburgh Black Political Convention.

When asked if the candidate must be black, he said no.

"We are aiming our efforts to all candidates in hopes to find the one who will help our community the most," Sala Udin said on NewsRadio 1020 KDKA. "That doesn't mean the candidate will be one of the two black candidates."
