Reported Big Rig Fire And Explosion On Rostraver Township Bridge

WESTMORELAND COUNTY (KDKA) – Firefighters are on the scene of a reported tractor trailer fire on the Speers Bridge in Rostraver Township.

Westmoreland County dispatch says that the accident happened on I-70 on the bridge.

Belle Vernon State Police say the truck had some sort of blow-out of a tire, and then the truck caught fire.

The driver was not injured in the accident.

Police say there is no structural damage to the bridge, and westbound lanes are back open.

They expect to open the eastbound lanes shortly.
