Report: Steelers Could Face Patriots In NFL Opener
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Because they beat the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl, the New England Patriots will play in the 2015 regular season opener in Foxboro.
As John Breech of CBSSports.com writes, "Right now, we know two things about the opener: It will be played on Sept. 10 and it will be played in New England."
At this time, the Patriots' opponent is not yet known, but at the above link, Breech takes a look at who their opponents could be.
Breech points out that the Steelers are one of the teams in the running, because both franchises share a similar Super Bowl history, comparing Chuck Noll and Terry Bradshaw to Bill Belichick and Tom Brady.
Because both the Steelers and Patriots won their divisions next year, they will at some point be on each others schedule.
