Rehabilitated Bald Eagles Released Back Into The Wild

VENANGO COUNTY (KDKA) - There are now two more bald eagles soaring high over the skies of Western Pennsylvania, as two rehabilitated birds have been released in Venango County.

The two birds were released in conjunction with individuals from Skye's Spirit Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Harrisville, Pa.

The Venango County Pennsylvania Game Commission officials made the announcement.

One of the birds was found on January 9 in Coolspring Township.

The other bird was found on Airport Road in Venango County on March 28.

The birds rehabilitation took months as the eagles needed to regain their strength before they could be released.

On August 2, both birds were successfully released at the site of their capture.
