Police: Suspects Stuff Beauty Products In Clothes In Unity Twp. Robbery

UNITY TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- State Police in Westmoreland County are looking for two suspects who they say stole more than $1,000 worth of products from a pharmacy by stuffing them in their clothes.

The robbery happened just before 9 p.m. last Saturday at the CVS Pharmacy on Theatre Street in Unity Township.

KDKA's Marty Griffin Reports:

According to state police, the two suspects got away with a bunch of beauty products, including Oil of Olay creams, Crest teeth whiting strips and two electronic toothbrushes, totaling $1,042.63.

Police say after showing the first suspect to the store's restroom, the clerk then offered assistance to the second suspect who asked her to show him to the face cream products.

"Once they're inside the store, one of them distracts the clerk that was working there and the other one starts to steal personal care items," said Trooper Steve Limani, of Pennsylvania State Police.

While the clerk was busy helping that man, state police say the first suspect came out of the bathroom and started removing products from shelves. Authorities say he stuffed those items under his jacket.

However, when he went to leave the store, investigators say that suspect set off the alarm.

When the clerk went to check the door, the second suspect also began taking items, according to state police.

The two men managed to get away, but police say the clerk saw them get into a white sedan.

Both suspects are described as white males.

The first was in his mid-20s and had short, light brown hair and a goatee. He was wearing a black jacket and was smoking.
