Police Identify Man Allegedly Using Sob Stories To Rob People
NEW KENSINGTON (KDKA) -- Police have identified a man allegedly using sob stories to rob people in New Kensington.
Officers say Jackie Lee Williams, 42, has been asking good Samaritans for a ride, and then pulling a gun on them once he gets in the car.
23-year-old Colton Phillippi told KDKA he was a victim of this scheme, and that he lost $30 and his debit card after picking a man up at an Exxon at Natrona Heights.
Police say the same crime pattern has been reported in Tarentum, Arnold, Bracken Ridge and Lower Burrell.
Anyone with information on Williams should contact law enforcement.
