Highs today will be back in the mid-70s but this time morning lows are going to get in on the well above-average party.  '

Research and logic tell us where climate change will be felt the most should be our transition months of spring and autumn.

That's certainly been the case here in Pittsburgh.

Warm Octobers are becoming commonplace.  KDKA Weather Center

Over the past decade, we have seen eight Octobers with well above seasonal average temperatures through the first three and a half weeks of October. Six of the past 10 years have seen temperatures through the 24th of October more than a degree above average.

Only one year over the past 10 did we see temperatures more than a degree off of the average but colder.

At least Halloween will 'feel' October 'ish.

I have highs today hitting 75 degrees.  Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy with winds light and out of the south. It's not just highs today that will be well over average, with morning lows also running a good 15-20 degrees above average. Morning lows will dip to the mid-50s in Pittsburgh with noon temperatures in the low 70s.

Rain chances over the next six days KDKA Weather Center

While I do have an isolated rain chance in the forecast both today, Thursday, and Friday, you're probably going to be dry.

The rain chance is really for folks up along I-80 through Thursday.

Scattered rain will be around on Saturday with everyone having a chance for seeing at least a passing shower or two. The best chance for rain comes on Sunday morning and Monday morning too.

Behind the rain, temperatures will really dip to close out October.

I have Tuesday highs in the upper 40s, but most of the day will see temperatures in the low 40s. It will be windy and damp on Tuesday too.
