Local Nonprofit To Receive Federal Grant To Combat Veteran Opioid Abuse
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A local nonprofit is getting a federal grant to help veterans struggling with opioid abuse.
The Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard is getting a $100,000 grant.
They will create an opioid response program and help connect veterans with local treatment options.
Some of the money will also go towards education and prevention initiatives.
