Pitts was a Dave Wannstedt recruit, but decommitted after Wannstedt was forced to resign.

Pitts is 6-feet tall and weighs 190 pounds. He is rated as four-star cornerback by Scout.com and three-star recruit from Rivals.com. He is also the 29th ranked cornerback in the country.

In his senior year at Woodland Hills, Pitts ran for 1,758 yards on 218 carries and scored 28 touchdowns.

Despite losing Pitts to Rutgers, Pitt and new head coach Todd Graham received commitments from four players.

Three of the new recruits are running backs including, three-star Washington, D.C. standout Malcolm Crockett.

Two of the recruits were headed to Tulsa, then decided to follow Graham to Pitt.
