Pitt Left Guard Chris Jacobson Reflects On Extended College Career
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- University of Pittsburgh left guard Chris Jacobson joined "Seibel, Starkey & Miller" on Sports Radio 93.7 The Fan to talk about the season the Panthers are having.
Jacobson was given a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA after suffering a season ending left knee injury last year. He and his teammates resume Big East play in Syracuse Friday night, and he told us what it means to him to be given this extra time in his college career.
In his time at Pitt playing along the offensive line, Jacobson has blocked for running back's LeSean McCoy, Dion Lewis, Ray Graham and Rushel Shell, and he compared and contrasted each of the players for us.
When it came to describing freshman phenom Rushel Shell, Jacobson said, "he's a guy that, he'll lay you out. He's a guy who likes to hit people...as an offensive lineman, you like that."
On top of blocking for all those running backs, Jacobson has played for a number of different head coaches as well, and gave us a look inside the program, and what things were like last year under controversial head coach Todd Graham.
