Pirates Add Two Trainers
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — The Pittsburgh Pirates announced the hiring of two trainers Monday, Ben Potenziano and Brendon Huttmann.
Potenziano will be the assistant athletic trainer and Huttmann will serve as the strength and conditioning coach. Both join Todd Tomczyk, the team's head athletic trainer, on the training staff.
Potenziano spent the last six seasons in San Francisco while Huttmann was in Los Angeles the last four years.
Mike Sandoval, Brad Henderson and Frank Velasquez were on the training staff last season but were not retained. Erwin Valencia will return as the physical therapist and rehab coordinator.
