Pens Select Beau Bennet With 20th Pick In Draft

The Pittsburgh Penguins selected forward Beau Bennett with the 20th pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft in Los Angeles.

The 18-year-old, 6-foot-1, 173 pound right-winger played for the Penticton Vees of the British Columbia Hockey League last season where he led the league in scoring with 120 points (41G-79A) in 56 games.

Bennett, who has committed to the University of Denver in the fall, is a native of Gardena, California and the highest drafted Californian in NHL history.  He won a gold medal in the World Junior-A competition in 2009 as a member of Team USA.
