PennDOT Commits $452.7M In Liquids Fuels Payments To Help Municipalities

HARRISBURG (KDKA) - PennDOT is committing more than $425 million in liquid fuel payments to help municipalities maintain their roads and bridges.

That's a 7% drop from last year, and the state blames it on reduced gas tax revenues and the pandemic.

The money will cover costs for things like snow removal and road repaving.

PennDOT says Pennsylvania has the fifth largest state-maintained road system in the country.
