Mother, Daughter Handcuffed During Westwood Home Invasion
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A mother and daughter were handcuffed during a home invasion in the Westwood neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
"We heard noises and it sounded like kids and we realized it was someone it someone screaming for help and to call 911," a neighbor said.
According to police, three masked men armed with guns broke into the Vinemont Street home Monday afternoon, hancuffed the mother and daughter while proceeding to rob and ransack the home.
"She said that her house had been broken into and that men held her at gunpoint and they handcuffed her behind her back – her and her daughter were both handcuffed."
Subsequently, the father of the young victim came home for lunch, noticed what was happening, and scared the intruders off.
"We saw a lady and a man and he was helping her out of handcuffs and she was yelling, 'Where's my daughter?'" the neighbor told KDKA-TV.
Both the mother and daughter do not appear to be hurt at this time.
Meantime, the suspects are believed to be armed and dangerous. One man was black, one was white and the third man's race wasn't determined. They were wearing masks.
Police are continuing to investigate.
