Person shot, house damaged by gunfire in Pittsburgh neighborhood
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A person was shot and a house was damaged by gunfire in Pittsburgh's Marshall-Shadeland neighborhood on Tuesday morning.
Pittsburgh police said officers were dispatched to Geyer Avenue and Shadeland Avenue for two ShotSpotter alerts totaling eight rounds around 10 a.m.
First responders found a person with gunshot wounds to his upper body in the area of Schimmer Street and Staho Way. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
A house on Shadeland Avenue was also damaged by gunfire, police said. Two guns were recovered during the investigation.
Detectives with the mobile crime unit processed the scene and the violent crime unit is investigating.
