Local Students Celebrating End Of 2015 School Year By Creating "Lip Dubs"
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pittsburgh area high schools are once again showing off their creativity by making unique "lip dubs" featuring hundreds of students from their schools.
Mount Lebanon High School has already posted their video to YouTube and Pine-Richland was working to create their video just the other day.
A "lip dub" is a form of music video involving groups of people lip syncing to a song.
Hundreds of thousands of people have watched the students' videos on YouTube over the years.
And this year, local schools are once again participating in what's become an annual tradition.
Some schools are even making a rivalry out of it.
Many schools try to make their videos look spontaneous, moving from room to room with lots of group participation – one upping, and sometimes, mocking rival schools. It's become a point of pride for the students.
It has become such a school pride experience that Pine-Richland even made academic adjustments so all the students can have a chance to participate.
