Person Hit And Killed By Train In Washington County

CARROLL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) -- The Washington County Coroner says one person was struck and killed by a train.
The coroner said the person was hit by a train traveling north on the Norfolk Southern railway near Route 837 and Jones Lane in Carroll Township around 4 p.m. on Friday. The person died a short time later, according to the coroner.
The victim has not been identified. The Norfolk Southern Police are investigating.
