Carsyn Salvati came in third, just one minute after Margaret at 12:55 a.m. at Magee-Womens Hospital. She weighed in at seven pounds, one ounce and is 21 inches long.

Proud parents Nakita Harbison and Daniel Salvati are overjoyed to have a New Year's baby.

"I think it feels amazing. It's just the best way to kick off the New Year. I would never expect that we would have one of the first New Year's babies for Pittsburgh," the proud dad said.

The couple says the name Carsyn has a very special meaning.

"I used to live on the South Side, and that's where we met, and I said Carson as a joke. As soon as it came out of my mouth, I said, 'Oh no, she's gonna love it,'" said Daniel.

Big sister, Bailey, can't wait to help out, but for now, it seems like Carsyn likes to get her beauty sleep.

"She's been sleeping all day. She's super quiet," said Nakita.
